Today we had special visitors and they are from England and they showed us what they did in England (which is trick or treating and pumpkin carving). They had 2 kids that were dressed up like Frankenstein and a skeleton holding a HAPPY HALLOWEEN sign. What are you doing for halloween? I am going to a slumber party.

Hi. Today we did a ton (one ton) of Italian. (I do NOT! like this.) But we did do one lesson of English, which was super super SUPER! fun because there was three stations and you had to make silly sentences, do a ditty, and a color by sound. It was so so SO SO! much fun. And after that we put the classroom back together.

Today I went back to school. When I was sick I missed 4 days and 4 hours. We learned a new song and it was sung by an American singer. And we made up movements to go with the song. (It was fun.) In geography we read a story about Tamara (which is a fish). I miss all of you. :( :( :( Bye!

For the past few days I was sick and hot. Mom gave me some medicine to help me feel better. I came home from school with a fever and during the night I got a little sick then sicker. I missed 2 days and 4 hours. I miss you all. I wish I was going to an English school and with my friends.

Today I came home early because my throat hurt. But before I went home we did mental math test (MMT). We also did Italian. I missed Geography and Music. I had lunch with Dad and it was soup (leftovers that Dad made for dinner). I am writing right now and I am bored. I am going to meet Mom.

Yesterday, we went to a castel.¹ We had a long walk. We saw lots of apples. (Dad took a lot of pictures and I do not have all of them.) When we got there, we finally found a bench.

I got a map of the castel and it is so SO SO! confusing!

We saw lovely paintings on the walls. We saw lovely heaters and lovely carvings on the master's bed.

(Mom really really  REALLY! wants this chair.)

My favorite part was a mirror that showed you the painting on the walls in the room of the lady of the house:

We had lunch at the cafe at the castel.

After that we went to the tournament grounds and played in the grass and looked in the well. (Cora wanted Mom to put her in the well.) Cora got soaked in the grass picking flowers while me and Mom made up a new weapon.

We saw snow on the mountains, and it was lovely.

We walked to the car a different way then we came. Dad took a picture of a bee on a lovely flower.

Mom is going to take me to get some ice cream later. We went to the swimming pool today and we went with Milena. We also went to lunch with Milena. At the swimming pool, we got one little puppy (that was a stuffed animal). Now I am writing in my journal and I wrote four pages and one sentence.

Today we went on a field trip and it was SUPER SUPER SUPER! fun. Tomorrow will not be as fun as today or the day after that. We went by train and we had trouble getting off the train (well, kind of). Have you had fun in the past few months???????? I wish you made a blog so I could read it and know what you are doing. We saw the ice man named Utzi and his dead body and it was gross. We split into groups and made a show about Utzi and his life and it was so So SO! much fun. I LOVE how they set up the museum. They showed us a video of Utzi and how they would get him out of the building if there was a fire. They showed us what his clothes looked like. They showed his pants and what materials he kept and what weapons he had. Utzi was kept in a freezer (sort of thing). We walked for a long time and saw a lot of things. It rained on us today. Luckily we had some umbrellas. We had enough for everyone (two people for one umbrella).

I AM BORED! Writing is boring. And mom is making me do it at this moment. I wish I was on the funicular. Today we did two lessons of Italian and only one in English. Tomorrow we will go on a field trip to Bolzano to see the ice man and it will be so so so SO SO much FUN!

Today we had a lot of fun and we did lots of cool things. For example, we did a game of buzzers and that was super super super SUPER fun. Yesterday we finished the lego friends swimming pool. Here is the picture [picture a completely unadorned rectangle]. Isn't it neat?

Today we did lots of math. (At least it felt like it.) Today is Cora's real birthday. Yesterday, me and mom built part of a Lego friends swimming pool. It looks like this [picture a completely unadorned rectangle]. I will show you the whole swimming pool once it is finished!

Yesterday we went to the apple festival and went to the festival with Milena! We had apple juice. Today we did lots and lots and LOTS of homework and lots of boring things. But not one thing because it was the funicular and it was super fun. Now we are having Cora's birthday party.

Yesterday mom worked from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and today from 5:00 to 5:30. It is N-O spells no fun without mom.  :-( Me and Cora played Vampire queen and princess. Our names were Rossabeth of Arendel and Christina of Arendel. We had a load of fun. One load of FUN! Now I am not having fun because mom is being mean to me.

Today we had gym, and we got to pass the ball to a partner. After gym we had lunch. We had pasta with tomato sauce and it was delicious. After lunch we did a project called cross curricular. It was pretty warm today. I LOVED when I to to make a foot today that looks like this:

Today we learned how to do the checking trick. The checking trick goes like this:

I am looking forward to winter because I LOVE snow and cold weather. But I am not used to it.

1 Of course, Maya had a worksheet that she brought home from school that explained all of this. But then she took it back to school. But, basically, they taught them about digit sums. Add up the digits in the to operands. If the sum is larger than 9, do it again and continue until the number is less than 10. So 8+1+2=11, 1+1=2. And 3+1+8=12, 1+2=3. Those are the numbers in the right hand column; sum them to get the number at the bottom (repeating again if you have a number over 9). Once you're done with your addition the normal way (so add 812+318), add up the digits in the sum. So 1+1+3+0=5. Then the check is to verify that the two results are the same.

We had Mexican food for dinner yesterday. It was delicious. Today, I did my homework and then we went to the underground city. It was COOL COOL. Tomorrow we will do more homework and then we will go get ice cream (gelato).

I read my first Italian today and all of it was correct. We also did lunch. It was pasta with olives and chicken with salad. It was mmmmmm! I LOVED lunch. I finished Matilda, and I am starting James and the GIANT Peach. It is a really really good book. (Milena let me borrow Matilda.) (And also James and the GIANT Peach.)
