Barecelona

The first day we went to Barcelona and then had dinner. The next day, we saw Casa Batllo. There was a house for a rich chocolate maker and at the bottom of the house there was a chocolate shop. Then we saw some clowns dancing and stopped (it was cool). On La Rambla we saw a magic fountain. Then we went to a market called Mercat Sant Josep. Then we had lunch. Yum. Then we had hot chocolate. Yuck. Then we went to a church. After that we went to the roof. Then we went to a courtyard. Then we had ice cream. Then we saw human statues. Then we had dinner. The next day we went to La Sagrada Familia. It was made by Gaudi. On the church there were angels with instruments. Then we went to a park with some snacks. Then we went to Park Guell which was lovely but we did not see the lizard. Then we saw some statues. Then we had some lunch. Then we went to a different park. Then we had dinner. The next day we we went to Casa Batllo and we had a thing that showed us what it was like when it was a house. Then we went to the roof. Then we had lunch. Yum. (I was hungry.) Then me and Milena went to a church with dad. Then we did some races. (I won them all.) Then we went on a lift and went to another church. We got to go to dinner with the three grownups. ARE YOU HAVING FUN?

Hi, hi, hi. How are you? (Answer here ________) Today I went to school. At school, we did English, Religion, and Storia. In English, we watched a movie and got some homework (which is easy peasy lemon squeezy). In religion we did nothing. Then we had lunch, which was salad and potatoes and meat with vegetables. In Storia, we did a worksheet with a party following. Now it is Christmas break! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Today we had a show/party. The show was like this:






Mom says we did fantastic. At the party we had snack and drinks. Me and Sura and Giulia all made cards for the teachers. Also for Lana's teacher. I miss YOU SO much.


[Note: Here's what they're reading in the last video. I cut out the beginning simply because it was three and a half minutes long! It's a "bag bad wolf" story. The wolf goes around the forest asking all the little animals who's the biggest and baddest of all. And, of course, they all reassure him, it's you!

Until he meets a baby dragon.

"Hi, you horrible thing," he says to the little dragon. "I don't suppose you know who is the strongest of all?"

Of course, this is when all of the animals have assured the wolf that he is the strongest of all. But the baby dragon has a different answer.

"Oh, of course. It's my mom."

The wolf can't believe what he hears, so he demands a second time. This is where Maya starts reading (in the voice of a baby dragon):

"Ma te l'ho già detto. La mia mamma è la più forte... e anche la più buona... tranne con chi è cattivo con me!"
"But I already told you. My mom is the strongest. And also the most good. Except with people who are mean to me!"

Then...

"È tu, chi sei?"
"And you, who are you?"

To which the wolf responds... oh, I am the "little good wolf!"]

Today I did not do a whole day of school because I had a Mercatino (market). So I did a practice for the Christmas show and after that I practiced for the Christmas show and then we had the Christmas market. Having a good time? (In Texas)

Today we went to school and we did... I do not remember. But Cora played with dolls and for lunch she had artichokes and risotto. Oh, I remember. I did religion and English and Italian. Miss you all. Love you.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Now your consequence is you have to tell me two sentences in Italian. OK, just one. And Amy 80. Today we did Italian. I did my Monday class and in that class I did a dictation (in Italian) then we went to the playground. Then we had maths. We did MMT (Mental Maths Test). Then we had a geometry test that was super easy for me!! Then we went to the playground and it was fun. Then we went to lunch. For lunch we had pasta and artichokes and something else I do not remember. Then we went back to the playground. That was fun too. Then we had geography with a teacher named ... . She asked us to write things that you find in Trento and make symbols for them. Then we had a practice for our Christmas show. We went over how it was going to start and who is going to start it. Then we packed up our bags and went home. Before I came home we went to get vegetables. Now I am doing writing. For dinner we are having shrimp and pasta. I will put my clothes away and then watch a movie with Cora.

We learned a new song called "Somewhere only we know." Today we had Italian and science and maths. In Italian I did a history test in English (which was not hard and not easy). In science we started nature and watched part of the Lorax, which was really fun. In maths we did multiplication in columns and the checking trick. It looks like this:

Today I went to school and at school we had Italian. In Italian we did a dictation and some other stuff. In gym we did Christmas gym like making shapes that have to do with Christmas. In sweet Friday sort of thing we finished our cards and had some cookies. Yum!

Today I went to school. At school I did history and religion and maths. In history we did a test and I did not know most of the answers because mom did not let me study at all!!! At school Cora played with play-doh. For lunch Cora had salad, risotto and meat.

[Since I transcribe for Maya, I get to defend myself. She told me the test was on Thursday, so I told her last night when it got late that she could study tonight...]

Today I went to school and at school Miss India was NOT THERE! Yesterday we had a pretend Thanksgiving with: Milena and Vivi and GP and Amy (and some other people). We had mashed potatoes and turkey and cranberry sauce. That is what I remember. At school Cora played with the dollies and colored a picture. For lunch she had salad and carrots, meat and pasta.

Today we did maths, science, and Italian. In Maths we did geometry and made a cat out of lines like this. [OK, there's supposed a picture here, but it's been several days and Maya hasn't drawn it for me. I give up.] Is it cool? Yes or no? (Yes is the answer). At school Cora played with salad, played with a dolly and the kitchen. Then she played with a macchina (car), polenta, carne (meat), salad, and pasta.

Today I went to school and at school we did not do English because we had a sweet Friday sort of thing but sweet Wednesday which I get art two times a week because I am making Christmas cards which will be pop-ups and paper swirls like this [imagine a swirl]. It is for a school in Peru that needs money for supplies.

Today we did English and English and History. Why did we do English two times? (Do not go past here. Guess.) OK. Because our religion teacher was not here. In Italian it is "non c'è Maestra Daniela". Do you want to play a game? Say five words in Italian.

Yesterday¹ we went to Modena. On the first day we went to get lunch. We had a fancy lunch. There was first course and second course. After that we went to a car museum. The type of car was Ferraris. Here are some photos of them.

After that we went to the apartment that we were going to stay in. (Oh and it was raining all this time.)

Then I called Texas during a girl scout meeting and then I did my homework (just math). Then we went to the market and got some things for breakfast. They were bananas and oranges and yogurt. Then we went to dinner which was pasta bianca for me and Cora and was three different types of pastas [for mom and dad]. Then we went to bed.

Then we had breakfast. Then we went to the church to see the paintings but church was going on. 

Then we went to a bar and got a snack and mommy and daddy got coffee. Then we went to the church again but it was still going on so we went on a carousel and I got a free ticket because I got Mickey Mouse's tail. (Mom got Cora another ticket.) 

Then we went back to the church but IT STILL WAS NOT OPEN so we went to an art museum and the art was cool. 

Then we went on the carousel again. Then we went to brunch. Here is some proof:

Then we went to the car. After we got home we had pizza.

Tomorrow I will go to school and do Italian, maths, geography, and music. In music we will do a practice of our Christmas song. In geography, we will do the next part of our story then read. In maths we will do Mental Maths Test (MMT). They will be super duper hard. In Italian I will do a Monday Thing I do with Maestra Daniela. We will have lunch and it will be pasta bianca and salad and prosciutto and broccoli.
